BREAKING NEWS: Alcoa 2Q Results Top Views, Shares Edge Higher

Weighing in with the first big results of the second-quarter earnings period, Alcoa after the bell Monday posted results that topped expectations. The aluminum giant earned 6 cents a share on revenue of $5.96 billion in the quarter, versus expectations of 5 cents on sales of $5.81 billion. The shares are up about 2% in after-hours trading.
