BREAKING MARKET NEWS: Wall Street’s Losses Deepen in Afternoon Action

After a quiet morning session, the markets are heading deep into the red. Economically-sensitive sectors including tech, industrial, energy and materials are taking the biggest hit, while defensive stocks like consumer staples and utilities are managing to stay afloat. The Dow is down 109 points, or 0.86%, while the broader markets are off closer to 1%.
